Since 2008 a photo-exhibition has been realized besides the Poetry Competition.
The exhibited pictures are sent by the young participants in the poetry competition only if they wish. The photos don’t participate in the competition and the jury of the Poetry competition doesn’t know them.
The photoexhibition want to give another opportunity to express thoughts and emotions on the topic proposed by the competition.
The best photos chosen for the exhibition are not necesseraly been sent by the winner of the Poetry competition.
The responsibles of the exhibition choose the photos and extrapolate some suggesting lines from the poems, that are used as comments to the picture.
The result is a striking metaphoric way: Photos about different subjects, coming from very different countries and human experiences, re-read from the point of view of the words of the poets give the impression of a collective “Story” written by the poets themselves, that the observer/reader can trace and recreate.
