The Forum
The World Youth Forum “Rihgt to Dialogue”
is generated within the network of the International Poetry Competition Castello di Duino-Poetry and Solidarity Language of the Peoples, which comprehends thousands of young people from 90 countries all around the world.
Its set goals are various:
- It wants to adfirm the “right to Dialogue” as a fundamental Right
- It intends to promote as an essential condition of the right to dialogue the meeting between different experiences, about great scope topics involving multivarious fields of the cultural building of the participants (Litterature, various Arts, social engagement, voluntary service) aiming to multiply the suggestions to think and to improve the ability to challenge the otherness, the difficulties and the complexity.
- It accepts and emphasizes different abilities on the elaboration proposed problems according to ages and diversities (buildings and cultural heritage)
- It addresses to young people and their conscious self-aknowledgment as responsible subjects and leading class of the future
- It addresses to young people as the most important partners for the building of cultural models characterized by solidarity and open-mindedness
- It intends to improve the consciuosness that the dialogue schould be a dialogue betwensubjects, generations and cultures.
The Forum is open to Associations, Clubs, Artistic and Cultural Groups composed by young people, or particularly dedicated to young people. Furthermore it is open to everyone who is active in challanging social questions or in the voluntary service.
The participants are between 18 and 35 years old. Justified exceptions are accepted.
Youth workers, families and teachers are particularly invited to accept as an input for reflections as well the demands, contradictions, hopes, disenchantements expressed by young people as also the proposals, the analysis and their noble ingenousness.
The Forum is a yearly event. It wants to be the Basis for a permanent observatory on the youth culture in the world.
The Proceedings of the Forum are published in Italian and English and released all around the world in the countries of the participants.
